One story of this
family line came down from a
Trzebiatowski who was the Rittmeister (Ritteister
= Captain) I believe head of the Royal
arms, something like that). Friedrich
the Rittmeister was located in the town
of Landsberg an der Warthe. Now it is
called "Gorzów" (Poland). Lieschen had
two brothers one who owned a cigarette
(tobacco) factory and the other was an
artist ( Bildhauer )
The older son was given ALL the known
family tree documents which now lives in
we believe Austria.
PLEASE NOTE: at one point in time the
family gave or sold the title to a
person to help them. What the purpose
was is unknown to us at this time, We
have a few open ideas and family input.
There is a person who has wrote a
message on ancestry message web
explaining their ancestor came a crossed
the title von TRZEBIATOWSKI which is not
their original name. If anyone knows
this man who may have resided in the USA
or has a copy or information on this it
would greatly help us in our research
into our family also.
There is a lot family stories around
that whole issue (to those which are
still alive). If we where able to know
more about the man and the title we
could maybe have some clues to ask the
older family relatives to strike their
memories before they are gone.
The man would have the title now, and
left what was Germany at that time.
